Why does my dog need a snood?

Snoods are practical for both show and pet dogs with long coated ears. The snood can be used to keep the coat on your dogs ears clean during feeding time, play time and during walks. During the summer months snoods also help to prevent your dog getting grass seeds in their ears during play time or during walks.

Snood Sizes

Currently we have an extensive stock of snoods in three sizes, measurements are when the snoods are laid flat.:

 

Small Snoods (6" x 6") are designed to suit smaller breeds like Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and Maltese as examples.

 

Medium Snoods (9" x 9") are designed to fit Cocker Spaniels, American Cocker Spaniels, English Springer Spaniels, Welsh Springer Spaniels and Afghan Hounds as examples.

Large snoods (11" x 12.5") are designed to fit larger breeds such as Basset Hounds, Blood Hounds, Italian Spinone and Bracco Italiano

Wanting a snood for a different breed?

If you would like a smaller or larger snood for a different breed these can be made to your requirements by contacting us and providing us with the following measurements:

​

- Around you dogs neck above their ears.

- Around their neck at the point where they wear a collar.

- Then we need to know the distance between these two measurements which is the length of your dogs neck.
